Moving Day!

My little family has been staying in my in-laws beautiful house for the last few years while they have been out of the country serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They get home soon, which means we need to be out of their house soon! This weekend is the BIG moving day. In hopes of helping the process go more smoothly, I decided to use bright labels on our boxes so everyone helping will know exactly which room to put things.

 

For now there are piles like this all over the house:

Baby Shower - Girl

One of my very best friends is having a baby girl! So of course us girls have to rally around and throw this awesome mommy-to-be a shower! We decided we'd plan a shower with bright colors and a "Mamma Is Going to Pop" theme. Here is how it turned out:

 

Planning the food was the most fun - things that "pop". . . 

Pop Rocks Candy

 

"Pop"corn (butter, jello, white chocolate and caramel flavors)

  

 

Rice Krispie Treats (Snap, Crackle, "Pop")

 Cake "Pops"

 

And, of course... "Pop" (Sprite)

 

We invited guests to share their baby advice on a card to slide into a photo book

 

And everyone had a little bag of bubble gum ("Pop") to take with them with the phrase:  

Thanks for Popping by to Celebrate with us!

 

So much fun to plan things like this with such creative friends!
